Our programmes focus on working to promote and preserve a vibrant, tolerant democracy in Greece.  We seek to amplify the voices of those who often go unheard - including the unemployed and refugees - and to promote transparency and accountability in government and in the media.

DONATION OF A CONCERT PIANO TO THE PUBLIC LIBRARY OF VERIA

Following an open invitation from the Public Library of Veria to participate in the renovation of its’ second floor, our Foundation responded positively to the campaign entitled "Together we will Turn on the Lights".

Specifically, we donated a grand piano (Yamaha C-5) which now adorns the library's lobby. The piano’s sound was heard for the first time at the launch of the venue (May 20, 2016), during a recital by the virtuoso pianist Panagiotis Trohopoulos.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT TOWARDS "TRANSPARENCY INTERNATIONAL"

Transparency International is a non-governmental organisation that fights corruption all over the world. Its’ aim is to raise awareness about the dangers of corruption whilst giving a voice to its’ victims and witnesses. The organisation’s national teams work alongside governments, businesses and citizens to stop the abuse of power, bribery and secret deals.

Our interest in strengthening actions in the field of transparency and the fight against corruption is high, therefore we financially support the Greek branch of the organisation for their annual conference.

RESTORATION OF ST. STEPHAN’S CATHEDRAL IN PARIS

St. Stephen's Cathedral in Paris is the base of the Holy Metropolis of France and the main worship site for the Orthodox population of the city.

Responding to the urgent need of improvement, in 2016 the Foundation funded the preservation and restoration of interior illustrations and decorative motifs. It also undertook the repair of the central dome of the cathedral, as well as the cleaning and maintenance of the gutters.
