The Athanasios C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation donated 300 diving wristwatches, a special edition by Greek watchmaker IANOS, to the personnel of the Underwater Demolition Command (DYK) in a symbolic ceremony held at the Skaramanga Naval Fortress, attended by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The donation is part of the Foundation’s ongoing collaboration with the Armed Forces, which has already yielded significant results: 11 joint clean-up actions with more than 1,600 volunteers and the removal of 45 tons of waste from the Greek coastline.
As the Foundation’s President, Evi Lazou-Laskaridis, said in her speech:
“Our collaboration with the Armed Forces is neither occasional nor circumstantial. On the contrary, it is substantial and grows stronger every year.”
