The “Typhoon Project” of the Athanasios C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation was launched in 2019 with the goal of cleaning up the entire inaccessible Greek coastline, with its team working in the field 365 days a year. The driving force behind the program
is the “Typhoon,” a modern 72-meter-long ship built in Norway. Now in its 7th year, it is already in its 2nd cleanup cycle in Greece, having collected 1,035,000 kilograms of waste, equivalent to 23,046,183 pieces!
