The Foundation supported WeSwim for Shedia, a unique swimming event that combined sports with social solidarity. Its aim was to highlight the work of Shedia, which supports homeless and socially excluded people, giving them the opportunity to get back on their feet and reintegrate into society.
More than 250 swimmers took to the waters of Vouliagmeni, in a symbolic journey full of energy and smiles. There, they met the Shedia vendors in their distinctive red vests, learned about the magazine’s activities, and heard from representatives of the Foundation how protecting the marine environment can be a matter for all of us.
It was a day that proved that solidarity, participation, and care for people and the environment can always go hand in hand.
