By signing a three-year Memorandum of Cooperation with the Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency (NECCA), we have launched a strategic partnership aimed at protecting the natural environment and raising environmental awareness.
The agreement lays the foundations for actions that will contribute to the restoration of critical ecosystems, the promotion of biodiversity, and strengthening the governance of protected areas. Indicatively, it includes the ecological restoration of the Legraina wetland, the strengthening of the protection of the Parnassos National Park through research and environmental interventions, as well as the conservation of biodiversity in the marine areas of the Saronic Gulf.
A major prospect for cooperation is the exploration of the creation of two new marine national parks in the Ionian and Aegean Seas, as part of the international commitment to protect 30% of marine ecosystems by 2030.
