The new building of the Information Technology and Cyberspace Directorate was inaugurated, made possible by an exclusive donation from the Athanasios C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation.
On Monday, June 22, the inauguration of the new building of the Directorate of Information Technology and Cyberspace (DIPLEKYV) took place at the “Papagos” Military Base, an exclusive donation from the Athanasios C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation, in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the founder of the Athanasios C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation, Athanasios C. Laskaridis, Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias, Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff Dimitrios Houpis, as well as representatives of the country’s political and military leadership.
The project is an exclusive donation from the Athanasios C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation and is dedicated to the memory of Constantinos P. Laskaridis, the Founder’s father, lending the donation a special personal and symbolic character.
It is a modern, high-standard infrastructure designed to meet the growing demands of cyberspace and digital security, thereby enhancing the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces.

“We are inaugurating a project that began with the laying of the cornerstone on December 18, 2024. Eighteen months of work, planning, and construction have led to the result we see before us today.
The result is a facility of the highest international standards in its category. And I say this with particular joy, because that was our goal from the very beginning: not simply to meet a need, but to provide the country with a tool that will stand the test of time.
I did this with joy in memory of my father, Konstantinos, to whom – as well as to my mother, Aikaterini Laskaridis – both my brother Panos and I owe so much.”
