Evi Lazou-Laskaridis is the President of the Athanasios C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation, which she co-founded in 2016 with the vision of making a meaningful contribution to shaping a more sustainable future for Greece. Under her leadership, the Foundation has become a leading force in marine conservation in Greece and the Mediterranean, implementing flagship programs such as the Typhoon Project, the Cyclone Project, Fishing for Litter and Saronicos Project. The Foundation collaborates closely with international organizations, government ministries, and universities to promote environmental protection, scientific research, and evidence-based policy development. Moving boldly ahead, as of 2026 the Foundation repositions itself as a driving force of sustainable development. It focuses on the ever-increasing importance of the sea as a multiplier of sustainable prosperity in the wider socio-economic ecosystem.
Beyond her environmental work, she is a founding partner and President of The People’s Trust, a non-profit organization that supports entrepreneurship in Greece through microgrants, having supported over 750 small businesses since 2016 and contributing to the creation of over 1.900 new jobs.
She brings extensive professional experience from her career in marketing and operations, having served as Executive Vice President of Marketing at Hyatt Regency Hotels & Tourism Hellas S.A. She holds a BA, magna cum laude with honors, in Organizational Behavior and French Civilization from Brown University, and also studied interior design at Parsons School of Design in New York.
